McKinsey & Company is a global management consulting firm that serves leading businesses, governments, non-governmental organizations, and not-for-profits. We help our clients make lasting improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals.
To help leading organizations tackle their most complex challenges, we bring together an outstanding group of colleagues, from a wide variety of backgrounds – from medicine to law, engineering, economics and digital. We have long been a leader in strategic management; the amount of work we are doing in areas such as data science, software engineering, machine learning, corporate restructuring, and change management is growing rapidly. As our firm evolves, we are looking for more people like you – experts in their fields – to join our community.
Sara Marie Sarnoski, an Associate in McKinsey & Company’s Pittsburgh office, is passionate about improving the healthcare, public, and social sectors. Sara completed her PhD in neuroscience at Yale University, leading a team of researchers to discover a new drug target for autism and schizophrenia. She also has 9 years of experience working with nonprofit groups, aimed at improving inclusion/diversity, science education, local business performance, and animal welfare. At McKinsey, Sara has analyzed family planning access for low-income families, helped develop a growth strategy for an inclusion- and education-oriented nonprofit, and created operating model alternatives for a major manufacturing client. When not otherwise engaged, Sara loves to SCUBA dive, do aerial acrobatics, and volunteer with animal rescues.
