Dr. Swigonova received her Ph.D. in 2002 with Dr. Karl Kjer at the Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ; performed her postdoctoral studies with Dr. Joachim Messing at Waksman Institute of Microbiology at Rutgers University and Dr. Jerry Vockley at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh; and joined the Department in 2007.
