Undergraduate Research Symposium a huge success

The Department recently hosted our eighth annual spring undergraduate research poster symposium.  We had about thirty poster presenters, and as in the past couple of years the symposium has grown to include students doing research at the medical school as well as labs from our own department.  Students who are not in labs used the poster session as a way to learn about research at Pitt and find labs of interest to pursue independent research projects.  The poster session also kicked off our summer fellowship application process and was sponsored with funds from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Pitt's Vice Provost of Research.
